I had a baby in May (he was 10 weeks early) so therefore he was pretty sick and spent from may untill the middle of july in hospitals so I wasnt able to return to work! He is home on a apnea monitor because he forgets to breath and on a feeding tube bc, he doesnt have the cordination to suck swallow and breath all at once On friday i recived a phone callfrom my manager saying
Well your family leave is up on wens so I am assuming you will not be able to return and I told him i would like to return but wens is not possible because the babies dr said he needs to have care around the clock! so he said I am goign to have to terminate you but could you send me a email stateing that you can not return after i hung up i realized that i wasnt sending that e-mail bc it would state that I quit which I never did so i sent a email asking what is the date of my termination and reaasoning why

Are they able to fire me bc 8 of those 12wks were for my medical leave

At work today my supervisor grabbed me by the arms and hurt me. She squeezed my arm very tightly, and to the point where I screamed ‘Ouch your hurting me’. Another supervisor noticed and all she said was be quiet. While she shook me by the arms she screamed ‘You’re drving me crazy!!’. What are my legal options? I feel as though I have been violated, and have been harassed. I really want to sue!

is it worth pursuing workplace harassment?

over the weekend, a few coworkers and myself went out for drinks after work. One of the coworker and myself became involved in a few promiscuous situations as the result of having a bit too much to drink. When we returned to work on monday, one of the supervisors said he’d heard about what we’d done over the weekend and went on to recount the stories in excrutiating detail. I work in a small call center, and he was speaking loudly, so several of our coworkers heard the supervisor and began to give us strange looks. We both decided to take our break at that time, and when we returned, people started making comments toward me, and the word ‘slut’ was thrown around quite a bit. I became upset and left the call floor. I found the nightshift campaign manager, who had my coworker and I write statements and called our HR manager, who gave us the ok to leave for the night. Once we left, our supervisor asked around for my number and called to ask why I was so upset, and essentially asserted that he had done nothing wrong. I told him that HR would be contacting him in the morning and he hung up. Today, I called in because I was too embarrassed to come to work, and I feel extremely uncomfortable being around that supervisor. I have to work in a close capacity with him everyday and I can’t bear to be near him, and can’t handle the comments from other coworkers. HR was informed of the situation, but I have not heard from them yet and i’m not sure what to do. I know that the supervisor acted unprofessionally, but does this count as harassment? Is it reasonable to expect him to be fired? What is the best way to deal with this? I really love my job and don’t want to quit, but i’m not sure my work performance will go unaffected by this.

I WAS DISMISSED FROM A NURSING SCHOOL AFTER A SERIES OF WRITE UPS IN A PERIOD OF 3 DAYS.I WAS A GOOD STUDENT WITH NO PROBLEMS BEFORE OF THIS NATURE. BASICALLY IT WAS THE INSTRUCTORS WORD AGAINST MINE..SHE HAD ANOTHER NURSE AND A CNA THAT BOTH I HAD RUN INS BEFORE WITH,WRITE STATEMENTS (SHE WORKS AT THE INSTITUTION)THE ISSUES SHE HAD WITH ME WERE WRITTEN UP 6 WKS AFTER THE FACT(4) AND 2 THE SAME DAY BY ANOTHER INSTRUCTOR WHOM I WAS NOT UNDER INSTRUCTION.BASICALLY I WAS PASSING ALL COURSES,I FILLED MY END OF THE BARGAIN & PAID OVER $12,000 IN TUITION.I FEEL IF IT WAS MY WORD AGAINST HERS I AS THE STUDENT SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE BENIFIT OF THE DOUBT.

FMLA law. What do I write for time off work?

Family and Medical Act (FMLA), I have a prostate cancer surgery and treatment that I will be undergoing pretty soon. My younger brother told me to put down “Family Medical Leave of Absence, due to a prostate cancer and treatment”. I work as a Private Security Guard for DWP. What shall I put on my TIME OFF WORK paper?
