Does the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) apply to part-time workers?
I teach college courses and am due to give birth at the end of August. My boss told me she does not want me to cancel classes at the beginning of the semester. But, I would like a couple weeks to recuperate after delivering.
I work as an adjunct (part-time). Does the FMLA apply to me? Am I entitled by law to take at least a few weeks off?
I have worked for this college part-time for one year.

You need to have worked there 12 months by the time you go out and you will need to have worked a certain number of hours in that time. I believe it is around 1200 hours but I’m not motivated enough to confirm this. You teach college, you’re smart enough to look up FMLA eligibility.
Usually not. You need to have a certain amount of hours logged in for that employer within the last calender year to be eligible for FMLA.
Speak to the college’s HR department to know if you are eligible based on your hours.

Nice post. I learn something more challenging on different blogs everyday. It will always be stimulating to read content from other writers and practice a little something from their store. I’d prefer to use some with the content on my blog whether you don’t mind. Natually I’ll give you a link on your web blog. Thanks for sharing.
